In the former IIT Center for Space Human Robotics (CSHR) in Torino and in cooperation with the MINES group, in the context of the European project SMArt systems Co-design (SMAC, see here) we have developed design methodologies for Smart Systems Design to handle the design complexity of hetherogeneous systems. These methodologies try to uniform the concept of digital and analog systems in many multiphisical domains
