David Fernandez, born in 1991 at Caracas, Venezuela, is a Ph.D. student from the Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo) working alongside the Electronic Design Laboratory (EDL) facility. He obtained his M.S. degree at Electronic Engineering from the PoliTo and his Bachelor's degree at Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), both at 2016 due to a Double Degree's program won by student merits. In his thesis he realized an electrical and mechanical stimulator for the development of cardiac tissue from stem cells.
His main activities involves the desing and development, both of hardware and software, of a high accuracy 6DOF tracking system for small volumes, which final applications can go from commercial wearable devices to surgical guidance systems.
